Small, slow-growing tree grow up to 20 m tall leaves composed 4-9 pairs of oblong to elliptic leaflets, pendulous young leaves are brown with green specks flowers red or pink tubular fruits orange dark brown seed pods 10 cm long, 4 cm wide

Ornamental plant. The tree has very little practical application, though the wood can be used for low quality items.
