A living open museum for

indigenous and rare plants.

Our garden is a labor of love,

created with passion and

dedication by leading architect,

Shehab Mazhar, with the

assistance of horticulture experts

who share his love of all growing

things.

Located in Barageel district of Giza and 5km away from central Cairo, Mazhar Botanic Garden stands as Egypt’s first private non-profit botanical garden, accommodating the highest level of biodiversity in the country.

Deeply rooted and constantly flourishing, the garden strives to ensure a sustainable future for a plant collection of 75,000 living specimens, with new varieties constantly being added, Shehab Mazhar and his team have ensured that Mazhar Botanic Garden is an outstanding heritage for Egypt and her people.
