 Evergreen succulent grows in rosettes of thick, fleshy leaves and spreads by producing small offsets called "chicks" around the main plant ("hen") leaves obovate- lanceolate thick, fleshy, pointed, form rosettes 5-10 cm wide,  feature tiny, delicate hairs fringed along the margins flowers red-purple on tall stalks

After flowering, the mother plant dies, but the chicks continue to grow and spread

ornamental. landscaping. indoor and outdoor. medicinal. Its fresh, gel-filled leaves are widely applied to soothe minor burns, insect bites, and skin irritations, acting much like Aloe Vera.
