Evergreen tree grows up to 30 m tall, 60 cm in diameter leaves phyllodes flowers white in loose spikes, about 10mm long

Ornamental tree. Popular wood for furniture. The heartwood's colour is brownish yellow shimmery and medium textured. The glossy and smooth surface finish after polishing also leads to a potential for making export-oriented parquet flooring tiles and artifacts. it is able to fix nitrogen in the soil. The tree has high tannin content (18-39%), justifying commercial exploitation of tannins.
