Evergreen tree grow up to 20 m tall, 50-70 cm in diameter leaves opposite, thin light green, elliptic, oblong-ovate, 7-20 cm long flowers small fragrant, greenish-white in cymose clusters fruit narrow, cylindrical 15-25 mm in length, glandular and sticky

Ornamental tree. Edible leaves. It can form dominant pioneer groves on bird-inhabited islands. It can also form pure stand forests, with very little or no undergrowth.
