Evergreen tree grow up to 5-10 m tall bark grey to reddish brown leaves imparipinnate 15-30 cm long, with winged rachis, leaflets oblong-lanceolate, entire, slightly wavy margin, 6-12 cm long, 1-3 cm broad inflorescences about  7 cm long peduncle,  are 16-30 cm long panicles fruit fleshy ovoid drupe, 1 cm of diameter, reddish colour tending to dark blue when ripe, containing 1-2 seeds
