Deciduous and dioecious tree to 6-12 m tall, but some trees have both male and female flowers in some cases also some perfect flowers leaves  obovate 15 cm long flowers fragrant, male flowers pink, appearing in clusters of three, female flowers creamy white, solitary fruit  orange- colored, sweet, delicious, fleshy, 70-10 cm in diameter

fruit fleshy edible, uses to salads, pancakes, cookies, jellies, jams, marmalades. Good source of vitamins A and C. A good source of thiamin (B1) ,riboflavin (B2) folate, magnesium and phosphorus. They also contain beneficial plant compounds like tannins and flavonoids.
