Deciduous tree up to 12-15 m high leaves obovate to obovate- cordate in shape, with wavy edges and slight drip-tip that is less distinct than that found on the similar-looking leaves of Ficus religiosa (Bodhi Tree)

Ornamental tree and shade tree along avenues. The soft wood is used as a fuel and for the production of charcoal.
