Evergreen tree grows up to 18 – 25 m tall, with white, milky latex on bruised parts leaves opposite,  whorled, obovate, light green 45-36 x 15-18 cm flowers white, fragrant fruits ellipsoid green to yellow or orange

•Ornamental plant, being valued for the shade it provides. Wood and fibre. The fruit contains two flat, edible seeds that taste rather like coconut. It is a tree suitable for gardens, parks and possibly roadsides.
