Fast-growing evergreen tree to 10-20 m tall leaves leathery , olive green, oval, gray-  green beneath flowers like hibiscus, pink fading to white with petals encircling fruit pendant  fuzzy brown capsules which release kidney-shaped seeds when ripe Seeds are enclosed by fine  hairs which can cause skin irritation to humans, hence the common name of cow itch tree

Street tree, Ideal for coastal gardens and windy locations. Windbreak. Tolerates light frosts.
