Evergreen shrub growing up to 1-4 m tall leaves narrowly elliptic or narrowly oblong, 10-23 cm long, 25-9 cm wide, tip sharp or blunt Salverform, 5-lobed flowers are pink with a dark red throat (3 - 5 cm long, 15 - 25 cm wide) 

Ornamental shrub because it produces lovely pink flowers throughout the year. Used for medicine, hedges.
