Evergreen shrub, grows 18-5 m leaves 5-10 cm long, 20-37 cm wide flowers creamy-white, very small, held in clusters in leaf axils fruits ripen from green to scarlet, oval, 9 mm long, seed single embedded in edible, sweetish white pulp
