Evergreen vine up  to 6 m high leaves deeply trilobed flowers  white above green beneath  fruit edible, berry, ovoid, green-yellow to dull purple

edible fruits.  A rich source of vitamin C. The oil extracted from the seed is used as an ingredient in commercial cosmetic preparations as an emollient and skin conditioner.
