Thymus syriacus are used as herbal tea and condiments. Fresh leaves are used for aromatization of home-made jams, candies, and similar confections. Thymus syriacus is also known to have positive results for coughs and other respiratory complaints, as well as some cases of gastrointestinal disorders (personal communication with local people).
