One of Thailand rarest cycads, grow up to 7 m, with many branches and large base up to 1 m wide leaves deep green, 100-180 cm long, leaflets white tomentum male cones narrowly ovoid, yellow, 25-45 cm long, 11-13 cm in diameter, the female plants do not bear cones instead they carry ovules and seeds on large, yellow-tomentose to brown-tomentose megasporophylls which are 20-22 cm long ovules 2-4, glabrous lamina orbicular, 100-140 mm long, 60-70 mm wide, deeply pectinate, with 40-60 soft lateral spines 18-25 mm long, 1-15 mm wide, apical spine distinct from lateral spines, 30-50 mm long, 5-7 mm wide at base (LLifle Cyclopedias of living forms)
