Small to medium sized cycad growing to 3- 8 m tall erect trunk 8-14 cm in diameter juvenile leaves blue-green' mature leaves 40-110 cm long, glossy, mid to dark green Male plants produce brown, hairy cylindrical cones 15-18 cm long and 5-7 cm in diameter,  female plants produce loose open cone-like structures at the top of the plant
