Arborescent cycad, 1 m tall, 30 cm in diameter leaves pinnate 1-15 m long,  arranged in a crown at the apex of stem male cone 1-6 sub-cylindrical, erect 60 cm long, 7-9 cm broad, female cone cylindrical ovoid solitary 30-50 cm long, 20 cm broad, seeds scarlet red, ovoid 3 cm long
